About

I often find my muse in the human condition, drawn to the universality of human emotions as people go about their day to day lives - urbanites navigating the complexities of a metropolis, sellers plying their wares in small town markets or Adivasis (indigenous folks in India) celebrating harvest. I have taken my early training in traditional styles and medium to evolve to more mixed-media explorations of a range of themes. My first art show was at the age of 12 years, and my most inspiring moment was to receive an award for a national painting contest in India from Mother Teresa.
